We are waving goodbye to the first quarter of 2015 and it is time for Antutu to release the quarterly report for the best performance of Android smart phones.

  Data source: Antutu 5.6.1and 5.6.2,covering 160 countries.

  Statistics Rules

  1. Statistical time :Jan to March,2015

  2. Statistics Source: Antutu database device scores, all from scores users submitted.

  3. Statistics Method: take the the average score of one device model, one chip model.

  Samsung:

Samsung Galaxy s6/Edge,with no doubt, would be the performance king of the past quarter , scoring over 60000, owe to the strong power of Exynos 7420. Exynos 7420 is manufactured on Samsung’s very own 14nm FinFET manufacturing process, giving it not only significant performance, but also power enhancements.

  Qualcomm:

The only competitor of Exynos 7420 would be Snapdragon 810. But 810 still has some thermal issues which may have certain compromise on performance. That’s the reason why HTC One M9 doesn’t get the dream score. Qualcomm needs to deal with the balance between thermal and performance in the future. In this Antutu report, we only take the the listed device into our data analyze.

Galaxy s5(European) SM-G901 ranks the fourth. It is adopted Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 , which has an absolute advantage compared with normal version. But we could only get it in Europe market.

  MTK:

Meizu MX4 is a controversial model once it was listed. Running on MT6595. 49000 Antutu score is almost the same with snapdragon 805. But it is a pity that it is a 32bit-supported .We may expect MT6795 could do better.

In fact, we could see that there is slight difference among the scores of Top 4-6. Google Nexus 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note4 got almost the same score, equipped with the same processor and 3GB RAM 2K screen.

Droid Turbo XT1254, appeared the first time in the rank. It is a custom model of Verizon.

Oneplus got the last seat of TOP10. Only Meizu and Oneplus ranked in the top 10 among the Chinese OEMs.

Antutu also analysis the chip and GPU performance in this report. We could notice, Qualcomm is still the biggest winner, 70% of total. Samsung got the best performance. Although MTK could also got the seats,it should try to improve their GPU performance in the future.

We are excited to see the great progress made in the last quarter. User needs push the development of industry and Antutu. As the NO.1 Benchmark app in the world, Antutu is always willing to reflect the new trend and development by our testing methods and our reports.
