Huawei Next-Gen Hisilicon K3V3 Processor To Support LTE Cat

4G LTE is one of the hottest words in China. The Chinese government officially released the 4G LTE license to China Mobile and a huge storm of 4G LTE is expected to come soon.

 

Huawei is expected to rake in at least $4 billion through 4G LTE business and 70% of the 4 billion are expected to come from the Chinese market. Since the release of LTE-TDD license, the Chinese market is another huge market that’s under 4G LTE development. Huawei predicted that the 4G LTE users in China will reach 180 million in 2016.

 

Finally, we have some information about the successor of Hisilicon K3V2. According to a Chinese source, Huawei is set to unveil a new mobile processor in first quarter of 2014. The upcoming HiSilicon processor will support LTE Cat 6 band. The maximum download speed of the new HiSilicon processor is 300Mbps. The Chinese source further mentioned that the processor could be the Hisilicon K3V3 Octa-core processor.

 

Huawei is also set their sight on the 5G technology. They will invest more than $600 million in the development of 5G and the products based on 5G are expected to debut in 2020, seven years later.
